2xIxL. I Wanna Hear Your Song Episode 7-8 Recap I Wanna Hear Your Song Episode 7-8 Recap. This episode definitely cleared up a lot of things regarding Jang Yoonâs true intentions towards Yi Young and also we were left with an unexpected cliffhanger. Below are the highlights of episode 7-8, to see the recaps of episode 5-6, click here. Yi Young Cloudy Memory This episode continued with Yi Young feeling dizzy after learning about Jang Yoonâs brother, Kim Ian, that was killed in the accident. She is left in a state of shock after trying to figure out why the name Kim Ianâ was affecting her so much. After she was told he was murdered in a car accident it doesnât seem like she had made the connection between her accident and his. Furthermore, Jang Yoon had revealed that Kim Ian was murdered by someone he loved, which adds to another part of this mysterious puzzle. It leads us to question if Yi Young and Kim Ian were involved romantically and who his actual killer was. The ending of the last episode was a bit misleading as it brought us the viewers to believe that, she had actually remembered who Kim Ian was. However in the continuation of this episode, she still actually doesnât have a vivid recollection of who is he, however, we do see where she is triggered by the sound of his name. SIDENOTE Iâm not sure if you guys notice, but every time Yi Young gets glimpses of the accident and Jang Yoon is present she always becomes afraid of him. Since the start of the drama, weâve seen where Yi Young suspects Jang Yoon but then she seems to like his cheekiness. So the viewer is left trying to figure if she likes or fears him. But I guess thatâs why its a mystery genre. RELATED Jang Yoon Jealous? In this episode, we got to see more of the mysterious character of Jang Yoon. It is somewhat clear what his motives are towards Yi Young. Based on what weâve learned so far, he believes his brother was killed by Yi Young and it appears he is trying to clarify if sheâs truly suffering from advanced traumatic seems that the reason for Jang Yoon appearing in Yi Youngâs life is because he wants her to feel the guilt after killing someone he loved. He probably hates to see her living an unbothered life as if nothing ever happened. This can be proven by the different palaces he invites her to, they are all somewhat connected to his brother, hence that could be his way to bring back her lost memory. Also in this episode, we saw Jang Yoon showing jealousy when he saw that Maestro Nam and Yi Young were eating at the restaurant he worked. He immediately tried to trash their date by bringing up details about him and Yi Young calling each other at nights. And again it makes us question if he truly likes her or if he is trying to avenge his brotherâs death. He somewhat seems confused at times as it appears he is slowly falling for Yi Young. The Kiss The kiss that happened in this episode was one of the highlights, it was certainly unexpected. We can definitely see where Yi Young is starting to acknowledge her feelings for Jang Yoon and it appears he is starting to do the same. What made this scene so delightful was how the kiss was initiated. Yi Young was very bold when she asked Jang Yoon if she could kiss him, at first it seemed like he hesitated but went in after a bit. As I said before, even though Jang Yoon has an ulterior motive towards Yi Young, he seems to be warming up to her and that kiss just made it official. The Biggest Cliffhanger Another highlight of this episode was finding out that Maestro Nam was at the scene of the car accident where Kim Ian was killed. In the flashback, he was seen standing over him. This writerâs intentionally left us with this cliff hanger to make us believe that Maestro Nam could be the killer. Based on what weâve learned so far, Kim Ian was very talented, an assumption could be that he out-shined Maestro Nam and thatâs why he got rid of theory is that Maestro Nam arrived at the scene late and was left in a state of sorrow as if he had been quicker, he could have saved Kim Ian. What do you guys think? I strongly believe it may be the latter. The preview looks very interesting and I canât wait to learn more about what happened in that mysterious accident and who is actually responsible for the death of Kim Ian. The surprising combination of music and murder magically works for the recently concluded I Wanna Hear Your Song. Revolving around the mysterious death of pianist Kim Ian, the different characters of the drama struggle to recover. Most importantly, they all try to handle the aftermath of the death. But suspicion and doubt bubble up beneath the surface. KBS TITLE I WANNA HEAR YOUR SONG NETWORK KBS2 THEME ROMANCE, MYSTERY, MUSIC LENGTH 32 EPISODES BROADCAST DATE 5 AUGUST 2019 â 24 SEPTEMBER 2019 MAIN LEADS YEON WOO JIN, KIM SE JEONG, SONG JAE RIM, PARK JI YEON HIGHLIGHTS EXCELLENT WORKPLACE THEMED DRAMA, LOGICAL CAST PORTRAYAL, GOOD EXECUTION OF UNLAYERING OF MYSTERY PLOT OVERALL RATING RE-WATCH VALUE RELATED DRAMAS THE SMILE HAS LEFT YOUR EYES HIGHLIGHTS The mystery of Ianâs death drove the story onward and forward. Whatâs interesting is that as the plot unfolded, the characters, initially dark and mysterious, gently unfolded. Layer upon layer of their characters revealed the depth that was created for them. The entire cast portrayed the transition well from where they were shrouded in mystery up until they came to light. Screencap from Viu Yeon Woo Jin seems to excel in the dark and mysterious characters he gravitates towards. His most memorable role for me so far is still My Shy Boss. In I Wanna Hear Your Song, he gave another effective portrayal in the silent and mysterious type. But Yeon layered this character further by adding an edge of danger to the persona of Jang Yoon. KBS Kim Se Jeongâs smile warmed my heart. Her bright aura despite the dreary mood of the drama was a highlight for me. Since School 2017, Kim has developed further into a different level of an actress. I was initially worried that a newbie like Kim wouldnât be able to match Yeonâs acting well, but the pair had an irresistible chemistry that made me come back for more each week. RECOMMENDATION Surprisingly, I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. I would suggest that this drama should be one of the must-sees for 2019. Its unique concept of using an orchestra as an integral part of the story added new flavor to the drama. Bringing in the mystery behind Ianâs death adds an edge of whodunit, keeping you engrossed. Tying it up neatly was Yeon and Kim themselves, a very bright and becoming pair that might be the biggest and sweetest surprise of all.
Completed DeepZone16 people found this review helpful Story Acting/Cast Music Rewatch Value Story RantI regret complaining about predictable dramas, this was so frustrating when I cared about the outcome but I stopped caring about halfway through and lost all interest, I completed watching it for imagine being a blind person that follows sounds, and the writer keeps tossing pebbles around you, they toss one, you take one step there, and they toss one on the other direction, and it's not only 2 directions, but like 3 or of just making it mysterious, they forcefully led you to the wrong direction over and over until the last 2 episodes where the ending is finally starting to was so frustrating that some characters KNEW what happened wouldn't just fess-up when they aren't even awfully evil, they just DON'T want to talk, or empathize with the main result of all of this is a rushed ending where suddenly all the evidences appear, and witnesses talk, to close the were okay, like other comments and reviews said, the chemistry and romance between the leads was awkward, also at this point, I think Eun Joo's teeth were glued together, unfortunate since I was looking forward to her It's alright if you're into classicals, but if you're not I don't think you should watch this drama at all, since this is the best part of it compared to the Value Honestly, once you know the ending there is really nothing remaining in rewatching it unless you want to laugh at the pebbles the writer kept throwing left and right.
