since waze was bought out by google they don't seem to auto-reroute as traffic changes like they used to. You have to manually check the routes and this will force it to find a faster route if one is available. I use the TomTom Go 620. It's auto-reroute is top-notch. The traffic data is just as good as anyone elses.
The antenna of the S4 is close to the camera, is that area free or does your phone mount cover it. Easiest way to figure out if its phone or some other issue is to go outside and have a walk while looking at GPS Status, if signal lock remains its not a phone issue. hebermc. Emeritus Local Champ.
Go Settings => Security and Location => Location. Toggle on "Use Location" if it's not on. Continue to the App-level permission and then turn to the Waze app if it's not already switched on. Tap Advanced => Google Location Accuracy => turn on Improve Location Accuracy.
When Waze starts in CarPlay, the vehicle on the screen doesn't move and when I open Waze on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, there's red text saying no gps. If I open Google Maps in CarPlay, gps is working fine. I have to close and restart Waze on my iPhone and Carplay to get Waze working properly and sometimes that doesn't even work.
Ford F150. According to Waze, this is a known problem with GPS with Ford Sync 3. In some cars/applications, it manifests itself as an inaccuracy to both GPS position and actual speed derived from change in GPS position of the Ford Sync module. In others, it just shows up as an actual speed inaccuracy.
